Unga Prices in Kenya 2023 are still sparking conversations being the biggest contention between Azimio Leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto. In response, the government says Kenyans should expect significant price reductions.

Unga Prices in Kenya 2023
Statehouse Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed hinted at a reduction of Unga prices to about Ksh. 159.

Sadly, the pronouncement is yet to reduce the price tag for leading brands in major outlets across the country. A tweet from Hussein read as follows;
“Unga prices have started going down just as President William Ruto had assured Kenyans over the weekend. Prices have dropped to Sh159 and Sh160, depending on the millers. When the president assumed office last year, a 2kg packet was retailing at approximately Sh230.”

President Ruto echoed the message saying Unga prices are on the brink of becoming more affordable.
“You will have new prices starting next week because we have to balance and make sure that even what we import does not affect our farmers. The most important thing about our farmers here at home is the people we rely on.”
