In matters of education, he schooled at Don Bosco Technical Secondary School between 2009 and 2012.
In 2013, Maringa joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.
He has since practised broadcast journalism starting with a Hansard internship at Kirinyaga County Assembly and a media intern at the African Virtual University.
