Born at Keumbu in Kisii County, Yakubellah’s father is of the Luhya tribe and his mother is of the Kisii ethnic group.

He is a happily married man with a spouse and four lovely kids. Apart from entertainment, he hopes to secure a job from Governor Simba Arati.
Working at Kisii FM
Speaking to YouTuber Sarah Starnish, Yakuzellah decried poor working conditions in his former workplace.
“Nilikuwa nafanya Kazi Kisii FM, lakini nilikuwa nalipwa mshahara kitunguu jiko, yaani nafanya kazi mingi. Natravel na baisikeri kutoka Keumbu mpaka huko halafu unfortunately mwisho wa mieze mbili hivi napewa mia tano. Nikiuliza, nasomewa somewa, vibaya vibaya na mimi ni mtu niko na familia na watoto wanne, sasa nikaona niwache.”Babu Yakuzellah.
After losing his radio job, he became a street entertainer.
Encounter with Shabana FC
Yakuzellah says his close friend James Nyamweya inspired him to become a Shabana FC entertainer.
Nyamweya who is a Kisii town-based LPG gas trader admits seeing great potential in Yakuzellah’s personality, even as NSL matches were ongoing.

Yakuzellah spoke to the press about his encounter with Shabana FC through Mr. Nyamweya.
“Si unajua kuna timu ingine hapa Kisii inaitwa Shabana FC (nikamuuliza Shabana?) Sikuwa najua enyewe stadium iko wapi hapa Kisii… Akanipeleka stadium akaniambia hii ndiyo inaitwa Shabana… walikuwa wanacheza hiyo siku na Gusii FC… ndiyo ilikuwa siku yangu ya kwanza kuhudhuria.”Babu Yakuzellah.
Before then, Yakuzellah routinely entered Kisii town on his bicycle. He could then go around town entertaining shop owners, motorbike riders, and passersby for a living.
Even so, Yakuzellah spent much of his time free time at Nyamweya’s gas supplies centre.
Meeting Shabana FC would forever change his life with immense fame and pride.
